Joe McDermott
Joe is a national recording artist based in Austin, Texas. Shortly after graduating with a fine arts degree from the University of Texas, Joe was hired as a preschool art teacher and eventually become the director of a Montessori school. It was while teaching that Joe realized that children were an unending source of inspiration for songwriting. His first nationally distributed CD entitled, "I Am Baby", won a Parent's Choice Recommended Honor and his 2001 national release, "Great Big World", won the esteemed Parents' Choice Award Silver Honor. Parents who have seen Joe perform often note his ability to appeal to adult sensibilities, as well as their childrens'.

Go here, go there, go everywhere! Fasten your seatbelts because Joe McDermott will help young and old travel from a backyard to the far edges of space with only a guitar and a microphone, and naturally, the help of a child's imagination.
